What I’m Riding . . . Rune Thursday

So today’s question comes from Billy, who would like to know if he’s going to find himself in a steady relationship within the next few years, before he graduates college.  Billy, your Rune is Inguz, the Rune of fertility.  Before I go into what it all means, get thee to a drugstore pronto, because whether or not there’s a steady someone, there might be a lot of hoo-hoo going on. All joking aside—

Not only is this the Rune of Fertility, but also of New Beginnings.  This Rune is also symbolic of the moon, with a pull towards realtionships and harmony.  Drawing this Rune signifies a need to share and be desired.  It may mark a time of joyous deliverance, of new life, or following a new path.  It is a Rune of immense power which indicates you are fortified with the strength to achieve completion and resolution.  If you have any loose ends that need tying, or a project that needs completing, do it now.  Make it your top priority.  This is symbolic of fertilizing the ground before something can grow on it.  Also, as you resolve and clear away the old, you will be releasing yourself of tension and uncertainty.  To do this you may have to free yourself from a rut or an old relationship, something that was actually needed in order for you to be “the old you.”  This does not suit the you who will now be entering this next phase.  Sometimes transitioning can involve risk, but transitioning at just the right moment moves you out of harm’s way.   This Rune is a Cycle Rune, which means it involves preparation.  If you are centered and grounded, have freed yourself from all unwanted influences and can see the humor in life’s daily curve balls, then you have prepared yourself to receive that which is coming and can simply now sit back and wait for it.

Again, I don’t like to interpret Runes, but if that isn’t a big hell yes to Billy’s question, then I don’t know what is.

About whatimriding

Born and raised in Philly, I spent several years in Las Vegas, working at the House of Blues and writing about the city. I now reside in Tampa, where I continue to work on novels, scripts and short stories and tearfully await former Lightning forward Vincent Lecavalier's return to the bay area.

  1. Billy says:

Ooo I liked that. That pretty much hit the nail right on the head.

  2. Jessica says:

Is the “relationship” I’m supposedly waiting for even worth waiting for? Or should I just let it go all together?

You can word that any way you want.
