What I’m Riding . . . Rune Thursday

So today’s question comes from Jessica, who wants to know if the club cutie bouncer she has her eye on would be someone she should pursue, or be the first one to break the ice.  I know what my opinion is, but it’s not my opinion that matters; Jessica is seeking the higher wisdom of the Runes.  What she wants to know is, should she make a move, let her interest be known, or sit back and let things develop on their own?  Jessica, your Rune is Reverse Teiwaz, the Rune of Warrior.  Okay.  I think I see where this is going.  Let’s read on:

Through hasty or ill-timed action, life force leaks out or is spilled away (that’s a direct quote).  Drawing this Rune calls you to consider your motives for wanting something:  are you trying to assert yourself, or dominate someone else?  Are you trying to wield your power, or is there really something important you seek?  Are you taking action simply because you can, or because you know you must?  Are you focused on the outcome of a situation, or the process of going through it?  You will find the answers within yourself; do not seek outside advice.  Only you can decide if now is the time for the Warrior to fight.

So, I’d say that means to hang back and observe for a bit.  If through the observations and signals from him you see something worthy of pursuing, then I believe the Runes would support your making an introduction.  Just make sure that is what you want.

Until next time lovelies, keep it comin’ love, Rachel (trying out some sign-offs.  Yep, got that one from K.C. and the Sunshine Band)

About whatimriding

Born and raised in Philly, I spent several years in Las Vegas, working at the House of Blues and writing about the city. I now reside in Tampa, where I continue to work on novels, scripts and short stories and tearfully await former Lightning forward Vincent Lecavalier's return to the bay area.
